ABC Electrical Services is getting better and better

ABC Electrical Services, the direct labor organization working for Ashford Borough Council, has had a hugely successful 2021 expanding its top quality electrical services provided to Kent businesses and residents.

While continuing to perform the installation and maintenance of thousands of homes and condominiums, the team has won a growing number of contracts in the tertiary sector. He has been so successful at quoting work that he has had an astonishing 97% success rate in finding and securing new work.

ABC Electrical Services’ work on private commercial and domestic properties generated income of £33,000 last year. Many have been repeat customers in a clear demonstration of its growing reputation for quality and value for money.

This work was carried out while “doing the day job” of maintaining the municipal stock of 5,100 homes in the borough. This valuable additional income helps the authority fund essential public services.

It has invested in new software and IT systems to improve the way it does business – a new internal stock control system is saving several thousand pounds a month in equipment and stock purchases. He eliminated the time his staff wasted waiting at trade counters, freeing up more time to spend with customers.

The IT upgrade also reduced resource-intensive paperwork by automating cyclical job notifications, letters, and appointments, as well as providing a mobile workflow for electricians in the field. They are able to complete work orders and visits on their mobile devices, adding work codes and material orders, saving paperwork and filling out forms when they return to the depot.

ABC Electrical Services also has a strong community spirit. In 2021, it installed three defibrillators at Little Chart Village Hall, Spearpoint Pavilion in Kennington and the Singleton Environment Center free of charge.

It has continued to successfully run an apprenticeship program, with three apprentices having completed their full training to date.

In addition to continuing professional education, team members have taken many other courses, including emergency first aid, deaf awareness, electric vehicle charging, and solar photovoltaic training. It is MCS accredited to allow us to install, service and maintain solar photovoltaic systems.
