A Newcastle-based specialist installation company said it had a “solid foundation” to continue growing and maintain its current trajectory in its newly filed results. The accounts cover the year in which it secured investment from a consortium led by Trimountain Partners.
ABCA Systems provides services to sectors such as social housing and maintenance, Sky installation for Sky homes and private mechanical and electrical installation work.
In its newly filed results for the year ending September 2021, the company reported revenue of £22.2m, down from the previous year of £23.6m. . Pre-tax profits were £2.9m from £3.1m.
The company said it was “pleased” with its results for another year impacted by “Covid-related uncertainty”.
He noted that while uncertainty has caused a number of contract dates to slip into the next fiscal year, “maintaining a healthy bottom line provides the board with comfort going forward and a basis strong to continue growth and maintain the current trajectory”.
Throughout the year, ABCA said it diversified its product offering into passives, alongside the existing fire business, which enhances development opportunities going forward and added that its backlog orders is “substantially full” with new and existing customers.
The company said that, considering everything, it’s “optimistic about the future.”
ABCA employs over 170 people in its offices in Tyne and Wear, Chadderton, Cambridgeshire and London.
